The PowerTac E5R is a USB rechargeable-battery version of our best-selling E5 high-power LED flashlight. It is engineered to be an EDC (Every Day Carry) tactical work light that utilizes the latest cutting-edge technology and finest quality components - manufactured with exceptional craftsmanship and unbeatable reliability. The E5R features a built-in micro USB Type-C port to recharge an 18650 lithium-ion battery (included) without disassembly. It’s equipped with an extremely powerful 1000 lumen CREE LED with 5 lighting mode settings including strobe and has an amazingly long runtime of 2.7 hours on High and up to 32 days on our Firefly mode. Measuring just over 5”, this compact unit is machined with Type III military-grade anodized aluminum alloy making it lightweight and durable. We recommend the use of PowerTac Brand 18650 Rechargeable Li-on batteries and chargers.  Other brands may cause damage or explosion.  PowerTac is not liable for damages as a result of using other brand batteries with our products.  Do not leave unattended while charging. 
  
INSTRUCTION  

·To install battery: Unscrew tail cap and insert Positive (+) end of the battery towards LED. Tighten tail cap until its snug. 

·To turn on / off: Use thumb to push switch on tail cap

·To select 5-level lighting modes:  Turn the light ON; press the side switch (click) on bezel head. Continually press side switch (click) to cycle to each level: Firefly--Low--Medium–High--Strobe and back to Firefly. Your last light mode setting when OFF will be auto-memorized when turning back ON.

·Access Immediate Strobe feature: When flashlight is ON, during any constant light level, Press down and Hold the side switch (long click, 0.8 second), flashlight will strobe.  To deactivate, press (click) side switch, flashlight will toggle to Low. Hold switch (long click), flashlight will toggle to High mode.

·When external power is applied via the USB cord to recharge, an indicator light inside the side switch will illuminate Red and will change to Blue when fully charged.

  
O-ring / Screw Thread maintenance
Every 3 months, screw threads should be wiped with a clean cloth followed by a thin coating of silicone - based lubricant.

·After long periods of use on the highest setting, the surface area may get hot. Please use caution when using the flashlight in a constant high brightness level. It is recommended to let the flashlight cool down to prevent any injury.

·Use the highest quality batteries to insure maximum performance and safety. Consult with the manufacturer regarding any questions or concerns.

·Do not attempt to recharge disposable batteries as explosion or leakage may occur!

·PowerTac’s liability is voided if the light is not used in a proper manner or if modified.

·PowerTac reserves the right to change the design and/or specifications of all PowerTac products without prior notice.

·Please do not change batteries at dangerous locations such as gas stations. Batteries must only be changed or removed when flashlight is in the turned OFF.

·Do not throw the flashlight into a fire as an explosion may occur.

 
POWERTAC NO-HASSLE LIFETIME WARRANTY
PowerTac warrants our illumination tools to be free from defects in workmanship and materials, including any LEDs housed within, for the lifetime of the original parts (the lifetime of the parts are specified by individual parts manufacturers). We will repair or replace your original purchase of these products, at our discretion, if it is determined by us to be defective. Accessories such as electronic chargers and rechargeable batteries are covered for a period of two years with proof of purchase. Normal wear and tear – batteries draining and switches wearing out – is not covered, nor is damage resulting from misuse, abuse, neglect, battery leakage damage, use of other non-approved batteries or altering these products from their original state. Parts, holsters and accessories for illumination tools are not covered by this warranty.
